You cannot possibly know when someone either in or seeking office intends to adhere to or violate the oath of office unless you read the Constitution and understand what the responsibilities of that office are. Far too many people today, have no idea how limited the power of government is intended to be, because they've never been taught to understand or value what the founders of our republic did.
Since 1861, the Constitution has been used to wipe the asses of politicians and fool the People into thinking they're still free, while government at all levels increased their power over them. Few people today understand what the Laws of Nature and Nature's God are, much less their Natural Rights, because government cannot exercise unjust power over them if they did. Yet, it is Natural Law that is the foundation of the law and is what defines the limitation of government power... not statutes and whatever the government determines.
"When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.— That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," -- Declaration of Independence, 1776.
In those few sentences, the very bedrock of AMERICAN law and government was established and for 98% of the people today that truth has been lost due to the "education" of government schools and the apostate pulpit. Freedom requires us to be responsible for ourselves and provide for what we need from the bounty the Creator has freely given us in creation; to pursue happiness. We have a Natural Right to do so, as long as we live in peace with others; understanding and respecting their Rights to do the same. Those are the foundational principles America was built upon when we declared our separation from Great Britain; we didn’t just separate from them in a political sense, we also created a different and distinct foundation to build on… the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.
Our ignorance and affection for material gain has opened us up to the most evil forces on our planet in the form of a global corporate oligarchy, which has spread its tentacles throughout our land and gained control of every institution that was formed to secure our Natural Rights; transforming them into institutions of tyranny that attacks them instead. Many of you adamantly defend those institutions and their tyranny for the “benefits” they provide; not realizing they’re there to buy your loyalty at other people’s expense. Government is not benevolent and was never intended to provide charity or sustenance for others; that’s the role the Creator gave to us… the People.
No politician has the power or the means to restore America to greatness; that is in the hands of our Creator and the People when they embrace the Laws of Nature. There is one thing everyone can count on from other human beings… the individual will always seek their best interest and most people seeking office are seeking power over others. When you remove the perks from office and provide only a stipend sufficient to provide their needs while in office instead of their wants, you will find that only those with a servant’s heart wishing to serve the people will seek them.
The only lawful function of American government is to secure the Natural Rights of the People… nothing more. When any office, no matter how great or insignificant attacks those Rights, it loses its legitimacy; it becomes the duty of the People to exercise their Natural Right of self-defense and either abolish the office or remove the tyrant from within it.
